‘An Exceptional School Without Exception’
Here at Weaver Vale, 2018-2019 saw that we achieved a silver award with the school sports mark. In 2019-2020 we were striving to achieve gold, unfortunately the school sports mark was paused through summer term so we are currently still silver. We were formally recognised for our ongoing commitment and achievement in the School Games Programme during the Autumn & Spring Term
Due to COVID-19, all competitions are virtual this year. For us as a school, we have enjoyed taking part in the virtual compeitions. It has meant all children have been given the opportunity to represent our school and we have been able to focus on 'personal bests'.

Chester FC Community Trust and Chester FC: Chester FC forward, George Waring is a qualified coach who has volunteered to train our Yr 1/2 and 3/4 classes for a block in Autumn 1 term. We have been lucky enough to have George join us throughout the year and he has taught Year 1/2, Year 3/4, Year 5 and Year 6.
In May of 2021, we have celebrated Change4Life week. There was a focus on plenty of different topics, but as a school we focused on healthy eating and acitivites that get us active. Being healthy and active is something we all strive to be.
In 'files' you can select pupil voice. 2 / 3 pupils from each year group were selected to come and talk to me about PE. On the file you will see their answers. The chlodren were a mixture of genders and abilities so the answers are a true reflection of Weaver Vale Primary School. The whole school answers did not include reception.
